Our counselors are carefully selected by written application and interview. Many of our counselors are former campers and returning staff members. We're proud of that! We think that is indicative of their dedication to Camp Trinity and how much they enjoy their work here--and hey, they really know their stuff! All full counselors, who comprise at least 80% of our counseling staff, must have completed a minimum of two years of college.
We work hard to hire thoughtful, nurturing, compassionate, and intelligent adults who can create a safe, fun, and rewarding experience for children within the framework of our program. Directors, medical staff, and experienced resource specialists comprise the senior staff and are available to counselors and campers at all times.
Our Counselors live with their campers on the Platform (cabin) so as to be present for wake up, rest-hour, and bedtime routines.
Counselors receive 6 days of training and orientation onsite before the start of each summer. In addition, all Camp Trinity Counselors maintain current certifications in Wilderness First Aid and Red Cross Lifeguard training.
