Availability

The ranch is available to rent from mid April through May and then again at the end of August through October.

Since 1930, summers on the ranch are devoted to summer camp – and the ranch is not available for private events during this time.

Our Mediterranean climate typically brings mild weather with warm days and cool nights. As the days get shorter in the fall, as well as in the earlier part of spring, rain is more likely and daytime temperatures tend to be cooler

Ceremony

The ranch has several locations that naturally lend themselves to a beautiful ceremony location with easy access and beautiful views.

  • The Amphitheater is built into the hillside and has a view of the green pastures, the ranch buildings and Gates Mountain. The stone seats easily accommodate 200 people. Electricity is available at this location and the lawn is always green.
  • Inspiration Point, a short walk (or drive) west of our main ranch area, is a beautiful flat green lawn with a majestic backdrop of mountains and sky. Guests are responsible for seating in this location. If electricity is required, please inquire about the use of our small generator.
  • The Homestead is located a half mile down the hill from our main ranch area. This site is an open meadow surrounded by trees and just above the creek and swimming hole. Parking is limited so most guests will need to walk.

The site rental includes access to a variety of accommodation options for you and your guests, many of which have a rustic and comfortable summer-camp ambiance.

  • PLATFORMS Our most popular accommodations for the bulk of your guests are our Sleeping Platforms – beautiful wooden structures with views of the surrounding woods. They have a slanted tin roof, a back wall, and are open on the remaining three sides to the mountain air.
  • INDOOR ROOMS We have fourteen ‘motel style’ indoor rooms for a select number of your guests to enjoy. Each indoor room is unique but typically has its own bathroom with a shower and a queen bed.
  • CAMPING The ranch is full of fantastic camping spots. There are plenty of places for your guests to tent up in a grassy fields, sandy river beaches or a forest setting. They can camp close to main camp or if they are looking for something more secluded they are welcome to go off the beaten path.
  • RVs. We do have several drivable, flat areas for any guests looking to stay in their RV or camper. However, we don’t yet have hookups those needing power or water for their rig.
  • OTHER NEARBY (or as nearby as it gets) ACCOMMODATIONS. The small towns of Hyampom, Hayfork and Weaverville each have lodging possibilities for your guests. In most cases these small business are operated by local families and do not have the consistency of business to be open all the time. We recommend contacting them early to arrange your guests’ stay.

Food & Drink

Tables on the eating platform set for a formal dinner

Cooking up three hot meals a day for countless campers and staff since 1930, our kitchen is well practiced at serving happy and hungry gatherings.

Meals are enjoyed on our outdoor eating platform, where the hand built wooden picnic tables (seat 200) and serving windows are all set up to provide a fun, interactive, and efficient family-style meal time.

Guests may choose to rent tables and chairs and host their reception dinner on the lawn, with dancing to follow either on the lawn or up by the amphitheater.

Pricing per head per meal depends on your mealtime desires and can be worked out with the kitchen coordinator.

Please plan to provide your own alcohol for your event. The ranch has a wooden bar and often can hire a bartender upon request. Our kitchen coordinator can also help design and facilitate any signature cocktails you would like to provide to your guests.
